10th April 2023 Easter Monday – Earlswood, Redhill.
Danni was called out urgently to this female swan which had crashed into a greenhouse in Earlswood. There was a lot of blood and when Danni carefully extricated her from the wreckage she was bleeding heavily from a deep cut to her left thigh and losing quite a bit of blood. Danni applied a field dressing to reduce the flow and rushed back to the Sanctuary where Sally the vet operated straight away to repair the damage. The prognosis for the swan is looking good but sadly the same can not be said for the greenhouse, fortunately there were no plants growing.
