27th July 2022 – Andover

When Danni first rescued this cygnet he thought he was collecting a dead drowned bird as it was motionless in the water. When approached though it managed to swim off but could not raise its head. Danni caught it and brought it in to the Swan Sanctuary where it has received treatment and not inconsiderable care. This week it has been supporting the weight of its head and as cen be seen in the video by following this link it is managing to preen on its own. We are now hoping for a full recovery.
