15th September 2019 – Ruislip Lido

Normally we can entice swans to the bank with food and catch them there. Unfortunately this cygnet was not co-operating and steadfastly remained out on the water. Time to get the canoe out to go and see what the problem was. The cygnet was hooked around the beak and the fishing tackle was attached to the bottom of the lake. That is why he wasn’t going anywhere. Problem soon rectified, Sally detackled the youngster in situ and he was soon back with the family.
