2nd October 2019 – Shortwood Common, Staines

This rescue needed the canoe out on the pond at Shortwood Common. This gadwall was reported stuck in the trees in the middle of the pond. When Sally got to it she found it attached by its legs to the trees by a mass of fishing line. It was completely entangled, so the first job was to cut away the branches so she could get the duck secure and then unravel the mess.
