22nd October 2017 – Elstree

This year’s cygnets are turning up all over the place as they learn how to fly, or not, as the case may be. This chap decided to land in a sewerage treatment works in Elstree from which there was no way for him to get out. Fortunately we could get him out, although the rescue team drove back to the sanctuary with the windows open to cut down on the smell. He is none the worse now he has had a wash and brush up.
