20th September 2025 – Walton On Thames

Several calls today about swans with fishing tackle on the Thames in our area. This cygnet was by the Skiff Club in Walton. Cygnet with hook and what appear to be a fish in its mouth but as can be seen when we caught it it was a fishing lure. Lisa and Ian successfully removed the offending articles and the cygnet was returned to its family whilst happy to see it back they were not so grateful to our rescuers !
