Danni was called out to this cygnet which was reported looking dazed and had blood on it. When Danni arrived on scene it did not take long to work out what had happened. The cygnet was under trees, with a quite a large hole in its chest and a twig stuck up its nostril. A flying accident, the youngster had obviously been unable to avoid the trees and crashed into them, not unusual for cygnets unused to flying. The unfortunate flyer was brought to the Swan Sanctuary for treatment and, despite quite a serious puncture wound, is expected to make a full recovery.
